Private browsing

HOW DO I BROWSE ANONYMOUSLY?

Private browsing allows you to use the internet without leaving a trace. When you use private browsing, your browser won’t record data such as your browsing history, cookies or any information you’ve entered in online forms. 

On a computer (Mac/PC)

Chrome: Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the browser, then select "New Incognito Window" from the menu.
Don’t forget to delete your browsing history: click on the three-dot menu in the top right corner. Click on "History." Then, click on "Clear browsing data" on the left. Finally, in the dropdown menu, select the time range you want to clear.

Safari: Go to the "File" menu in the toolbar at the top and select "New Private Window."
Don’t forget to delete your browsing history: on Mac, choose "History" > "Clear History." Then, click on the dropdown menu. Finally, select the time period for which you want to clear the history.

Firefox: Click on the menu icon in the top right corner. Select "New Private Window."
Don’t forget to delete your browsing history: click on the menu button to open the menu. Click on "History" and select "Clear Recent History." Choose the time period for which you want to clear the history, then click "OK."

Internet Explorer: To activate InPrivate browsing: click on the settings icon (top right, which looks like a small gear), then "Safety," and finally "InPrivate Browsing." Or use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + P.
Don’t forget to delete your browsing history. To do so, go to "Tools" (or the settings icon), then select "Safety" and "Delete Browsing History."

Edge: To activate InPrivate browsing: click on the three dots in the top right corner and select "New InPrivate Window." Or use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + N.
To delete your browsing history: click on the three dots, go to "Settings" > "Privacy, search, and services" > "Clear browsing data."

On a mobile device (iOS/Android)

Chrome:
1. Open Chrome: Launch the Chrome app on your mobile device.
2. Access private browsing: Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the browser, then select "New Incognito Tab" from the menu.
3. Delete browsing history: o Tap the three dots again in the top right corner. o Click on "History." o Then, tap "Clear browsing data." o In the dropdown menu, select the time range to delete.

Safari (iOS):
1. Open Safari: Launch the Safari app on your mobile device.
2. Access private browsing: Tap the tabs icon in the bottom right corner, then select "Private."
3. Delete browsing history: o Go to "Settings" > "Safari." o Tap "Clear History and Website Data." o Confirm your choice.

Firefox:
1. Open Firefox: Launch the Firefox app on your mobile device.
2. Access private browsing: Tap the menu icon in the top right corner (three horizontal lines) and select "New Private Tab."
3. Delete browsing history: o Tap the menu icon again. o Click on "History." o Select "Clear Recent History." o Choose the time range you want to clear, then click "OK."

Microsoft Edge (iOS/Android):
1. Activate InPrivate browsing: • Open Microsoft Edge: Launch the Edge app on your mobile device. • Access private browsing: o Tap the three dots at the bottom of the screen (on iOS) or in the top right corner (on Android). o Select "New InPrivate Tab."
2. Delete browsing history: • Access settings: o Tap the three dots and select "Settings." • Clear browsing data: o Go to "Privacy and Security." o Select "Clear browsing data." o Choose the types of data to delete (such as browsing history, cookies, etc.) and tap "Clear." o You can also select the time range to delete (last hour, last 24 hours, etc.).
